Achievements
- Started a Hostel for providing free accommodation, food and medical facilities for the visually impaired college going girls empowering them in education, and for securing employment by providing training in various fields.
- The Trust has so far helped more than 250 visually impaired inmates to secure employment in Schools, colleges, Banks etc who are now running a dignified life after completing their education.
- The Trust encourages and supports the skills of the hostel inmates by providing all the facilities to excel in sports, academic and extracurricular activities which has helped many of them winning awards, medals and prizes at State, National and even International levels, in sports like Judo, athletic and other events.
- To equip and enhance the knowledge and skills of the visually impaired women, the Trust has been providing training in computer with screen reader software and coaching for competitive exams to enable them to get jobs in Banks, Public and Private sector companies and Government Departments both in Central and State. Such Trainees are provided free course, food, stay, monthly stipend and medical care. So far (till april 2023) about 40 graduate inmates have received such training and many of them have also been able to get placements.
- The trust motivates and encourages their extracurricular activities like sports, literary skills, Musical skills and other individual skills with our financial assistance to the extent possible, and many of them have won awards and recognition from State, National and International levels in all the above mentioned sports.
